"The one, who searches, will always find!" -- Motto is real life and living for life Sopho Khalvashi’s Way to Eurovision Sopho Khalvashi always dreamed about becoming a singer ever since childhood. She started singing when she was only 3 years old and members of her family were the first to realize her raw talent and to encourage her. This helped her when she began attending the Music School (Piano and Oboe Departments) in Batumi (administrative capital of Adjara Autonomous Republic), and it was only a matter of time before her piano playing was supplemented with singing. The effort paid off and Sopho was able to test her musical opportunities and abilities by participating in the musical contest designated for young singers “Nutsa’s School – 2004." A beginner singer deserved pubic support and she proved her skills by winning the contest. However, Sopho’s real fame came later when she won the first international competition in 2006. Sopho Khalvashi became the third prize winner at the commercial song contest "New Wave – 2006" in Jurmala, Latvia. After success there, she received a number of proposals from the Russian management agencies. However, Khalvashi decided to return back to her homeland to pursue her talent. Sopho likes real and sincere people and enjoys travelling. She cannot bear silly men. She is proud of the fact that despite difficulties, she does the kind of things that she enjoys the most. Sopho says that she never gets tired when she is rehearsing because singing means everything to her. Sopho Khalvashi’s career and professional target is to reach virtual perfection in all what she does. She even dreams to get to know Stevie Wonder and sing a duet with him. Sopho likes Soul of 1970s and classical rock. If she had to choose what to take with her to an uninhabited island, she would take a piano with her. Her favourite animal is a tiger. She very much likes the sea and swimming. In her free time she enjoys communicating with friends and reading. Sopho’s favourite writers are Michael Bulgakov, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Konstantine Gamsakhurdia. Her favourite poets are Galaktion Tabidze and Lado Asathiani. She cooks well and can prepare practically everything in the kitchen, but it is Acharuli Khachapuri, which is always especially tasty, and represents her pride and joy. She likes to wear jeans and says that she feels the most comfortable in jeans. Her favourite designers are Missaki, Sonia Raquel, Dris Van Noten and John Galiano. In kinds of perfumes, she likes the aromas from Givanchy, Bvlgari, Stella McCartney and Comme de Garson. Sopho is an energetic and highly motivated person. She easily gets up early in the morning and almost always with a sensation of happiness. She never leaves home without first being in a joyful mood. Her favourite expression is "The one, who searches, will always find!"
